Artist Statement:
Using oil paint and impressionistic brushwork, I’m drawn to beauty and the juxtaposition to the ache of impermanence. I primarily focus on marine subjects as maritime history in Michigan has been a life long passion of mine.
Biography:
Growing up in Spring Lake, Michigan as well as early on acquiring a devoted interest in history, Emily tied her passion of history and memory with the necessity to create.
